People Who Had COVID-19 Can Donate Plasma At Franklin Fire Department On Feb. 11

People who have had COVID-19 are asked to donate Covid Convalescent Plasma (CCP), which can be used to treat other COVID-19 patients.  

People can donate at the City of Franklin Fire Department Training Room between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Feb. 11.  Those who would like to donate need to bring a hard copy or electronic copy of a positive COVID-19 test or a positive antibody test.  

In order to be eligible to donate plasma, people must be symptom-free for at least 14 days.  Donors can give CCP once a week, but cannot deliver more than eight times in a three month period.  People are able to donate CCP three months after receiving a transfusion. 

People who have received a COVID-19 vaccine is not eligible to donate Covid Covalescent Plasma.

Appointments are require to donate plasma.  If interested, call 937-461-3220 or visit www.givingblood.org.  The sponsor code is 1677. People who donate will receive a $25 Kroger gift card.
