Chef Aimee Plesa Has Opened Speakeasy Sweets


It's no secret that I have a great deal of respect from Chef Aimee Plesa.  She is the chef who was won Best Chef honors in a fan-voted Active Dayton poll and I am proud to call her my friend.  I am thankful that she accepted my offer to write a food column in Warren County Online News.  I hope that you, dear readers, have enjoyed seeing her recipes and tips on how to enjoy food.  I love how she finds a way to celebrate things that I didn't know existed like National Waffle Day.  

She started her own business selling baked goods, various sweets and hard candies called Thyme After Thyme.  I ordered some items around Thanksgiving and again just before Christmas.  I had cobblers, cupcakes, turtles, and cake balls.  They all were good.  I love Aimee's products because she is always trying to have new flavors and products.   I haven't tried her hot chocolate bombs yet, but I know they were very popular.   She also sold a lot of gingerbread balls.  I did order two dozen gingerbread balls.  They were good. Many of her products have "boozy" versions.

With the New Year, Thyme After Thyme has changed its name to Speakeasy Sweets.  She has some different items on the the Valentine's Menu and Mardi Gras Menu.  The menu for Valentine's Day is above and the Mardi Gras Menu is below.
